During my service at the University of Sharjah, I worked as an academic advisor for about 115 students (about 30 of them from their first day in the University until their graduation). My duty consisted of:
- Ensuring that my advisees are following their study plan properly in order to accomplish the curriculum requirements timely,
- Following-up advisees progress vis-à-vis the program plan,
- Identifying students at risk (a GPA below 2.0/4.0) and make sure they are taking more 12 credit hours – as per the University bay laws.
